Spencer has a BA in Film/Music from Cal State Fullerton and has been teaching for more than 15 years.  He specializes in rock, jazz and Latin percussion.  A serious musician since age 13, his most recent band (Elysium-now disbanded) has performed in many venues, including the House of Blues and Hard Rock Café.

Playing since age 6, Spencer’s greatest strengths stem from his love of music.  He relates well to students of all ages and his love of music is contagious.  His instruction methods vary according to the student’s age, experience, abilities and goals.

For Spencer, learning to play should be a lot be fun but students must be dedicated and expect to be challenged if they expect to see results.
