Mr. Scott began music study at the age of 8 and obtained his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Long Beach State.  He toured the US and Canada with The Village People in the 1980’s and, more recently, performed with the Don Miller Big Band, the Jon Lundgrin Orchestra, Music Unlimited and Pocket Change.

Teaching since the early 80’s, John has been a valued member of the Coast Band Music staff since 2006.  He teaches all styles, from Classical to Rock to Jazz.
