John E. Amorosia is an educator, pianist, accompanist and composer who has played and recorded in a wide variety of venues, from Carnegie Recital Hall to NYC studio work to CBGB’s.  Currently, he is accompanying at California Conservatory of the Arts.  John’s latest project is a new Musical Theatre work, “Genetic Eddy”, of which he is composer, lyricist and co-author of the book and script.

Technically trained by Martin Canin (of the Juilliard School) and Helen Priess, Mr. Amorosia has also studied composition and performance with David Lewin, Billy Jim Layton, Richard Dyer-Bennet, Gregg Smith and John Mehegan.

John’s teaching philosophy focuses on solid technique of the Classical School, along with a contemporary freedom to compose and create.
