Mr. Frejek has a BA in Music from Berklee College of Music and a Masters Degree in Music Theory (with Highest Honors) from Cal-State, Long Beach.  He has also studied privately with Tony Rizzi, Dennis Sandoli, William G. Leavitt, Jack Petersen and Johnny Smith.

Jim Frejek has been performing, arranging, producing and conducting music throughout the U.S. for more than 40 years.  His credits are far to varied and voluminous to list here.

During his 40 year teaching experience, Jim has been an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music, a Staff Arranger at the U.S. Naval Academy and Staff Instructor at the U.S. Naval School of Music.  He has been teaching at Coast Band Music for almost eight years and is currently accepting guitar, bass and theory students at all levels, as well as beginning to intermediate piano students.
